Allgeier Experts CEO Markus Ley has been appointed to the German Economic Council’s Federal Commission of Experts for “Labour Market & Pensions.” The personnel and project service provider Allgeier Experts was confirmed as a member of the business association in the process. Against the background of the digitalisation of business and the continuing shortage of skilled workers, the Economic Council includes among its concerns the targeted integration of refugees into the working world and the creation of conditions for a more flexible, sustainable labour market. A key aspect to this is the strengthening of temporary employment as a “stepping stone into employment.”
“I am delighted to be admitted to the Federal Commission for Labour Market & Pensions. Digital transformation poses great challenges for German business. Especially in the IT environment, companies being able to flexibly use external personnel is increasingly becoming a decisive factor. However, it is precisely here that existing legal regulations do not go far enough. By working with the Commission, I hope to help find solutions that meet these increasing demands,” explains Markus Ley.
“We have been able to recruit a proven IT labour market expert for the Federal Commission of Experts in Markus Ley,” says Wolfgang Steiger, Secretary General of the Economic Council. “As a political platform for our members, our commissions form the hinge between politics, business and society. Our common goal is to continue developing the economic and social order in line with the social market economy. Cross-industry, politically oriented, nonpartisan – our members’ commitment makes the Economic Council an association of entrepreneurs.”
Exchange platform and representation of interests
The Economic Council is a German professional association of entrepreneurs organised across the country and currently has around 12,000 members. The Council represents the interests of business in the political, administrative and public spheres. More than 4,000 experts from industry, associations and science are involved in numerous federal expert commissions, federal task forces and around 120 state expert commissions and working groups.
